Not missing the opportunity to pull her husband back into line, Kate quipped back with: "You're a nightmare with that!" "On behalf of everyone back home, we would like to say thank you", the duke said.

The Duchess, who was dressed characteristically stylish in a green Smythe blazer, white top, and wide-leg pants, shared a sweet moment with a young royal fan while meeting members of the local community.

They spent three hours at RAF Akrotiri meeting personnel and handing out presents.

In the colourful grotto the couple joined dozens of children, who have a parent based at either RAF Coningsby or RAF Marham, as they created crackers, decorated stockings or made chocolate truffles. Prince William and Kate are travelling to RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus where they will bring the troops some messages from their families in the UK.

In conversations with soldiers members of the Royal family openly shared with the military stories of his personal life, telling stories about children and never ceased to joke.

It's understood that both the Sussexes and the Cambridges will be at Sandringham for the traditional royal family Christmas festivities.
