Adrian Peterson Played With Dislocated Shoulder

Adrian Peterson Played With Dislocated Shoulder

On a night when quarterback Drew Brees became the NFL's passing king, the New Orleans Saints sent a statement to a national television audience that they should be considered serious contenders for the NFL throne as they throttled the Washington Redskins 43-19 on Monday, Oct. 8. It makes me proud and it makes me extremely grateful - extremely grateful for the opportunity to play this game, to play it as long as I've played it, to have wound up here in New Orleans.

"I don't know if that will ever sink in (surpassing all the greats) because I love playing the game", Brees said later. It was just a situation where it was sore.

Peterson was injured the first half, and only appeared in two plays in the second.

Redskins coach Jay Gruden, who initially called the injury a strained shoulder, said Peterson would get an MRI on Tuesday to determine if there's any issue.

However, the Kremlin also said Russia's decision was not targeted against anyone and only serves to protect Russian troops in Syria.

"I just thank God it wasn't worse".

Peterson added he hurt his shoulder getting hit while running a flat route. Chris Thompson and Kapri Bibbs took over as the Washington running backs for the remainder of the game.

The New Orleans crowd erupted with cheers as the Saints players mobbed him on the field.

Brees, 39, finished Monday's game having completed 148-of-190 passes for 1,658 yards and 11 touchdowns this season. He did not touch the ball in the second half.
