Tom Arnold Claims "Apesh*t" Mark Burnett Attacked Him Over Trump Tapes

Tom Arnold Claims

Tom Arnold alleged late Sunday night that he was attacked by reality TV producer Mark Burnett (pictured above, left) at a pre-Emmys party, taking the fight to Twitter in what ended up being a war of words with Burnett's wife Roma Downey.

Tom Arnold scuffling with Mark Burnett, apparently! Variety's source says both men were eventually allowed to enter the party.

Arnold is working on a series for Viceland in which he searches for the "hidden Trump tapes" - tapes of outtakes from The Apprentice. "I love Mark Burnett, by the way, [Trump's] buddy who sits at the prayer breakfast with him, that created this guy, this fake, that people in Iowa - where I'm from - think is this genius businessman from TV", Arnold said. Her tweet came more than an hour after Arnold's.

After the altercation, Downey tweeted out a photo of her bruised hand, writing, "Got this bruise tonight when Tom Arnold tried to ambush my husband Mark and me at a charity event". According to a source with knowledge of the situation, Burnett and Arnold arrived at the event held at the Lawn at Century Park at around 9:30 p.m. Time will tell whether Arnold found anything substantive on any tapes, and furthermore, whether said tapes will make a difference on anyone's opinion of Trump. Arnold claimed the former "Apprentice" producer choked him at a party on Sunday, September 16. "I'm filing police report and suing you for defamation".

I'm with @TomArnold, everyone. "He's okay. We gotta protect this brutal angel", he wrote. Mark Burnett says he's a Christian?

Since the incident, there have been a few updates from other Hollywood celebrities in attendance who either witnessed the altercation to some extent, or saw Arnold after. In the video, he requests an interview with Burnett. We asked Arnold if he expect's Fogel to speak out on the incident.

"About my show, and uh, Trump".

Arnold is also heard asking Burnett if he could use that phone conversation in the show.
