Unbreakable records at the US Open

Serena Williams takes on Japan's Naomi Osaka in the U.S. Open final on Saturday, little over a year after almost dying giving birth to her daughter.

However, Williams isn't letting anything impact her game as she's still vying for her 24 Grand Slam title. And her biggest fan wants her to know he's proud of her. "Help me make sure she sees it!"

At the US Open 2018 final, Serena found herself in a shouting match with the umpire as she accused him of "stealing a point from her".

Ahead of the decider, Ohanian thought it would be fitting to highlight Williams' journey via a video tribute, which covers experiencing complications during her birth a year ago, to being on the cusp of creating tennis history. "A year ago, I was fighting for literally my life at the hospital after I had the baby", she explains.

The 23-time Grand Slam victor had to undergo another operation shortly afterwards for a large hematoma in her abdomen. Serena laughed about her daughter's shoes as she filmed the moment, asking Olympia where she'd gotten "them shoes". "I have a daughter and I stand for what's right for her", she also told him.

Their stocks fell as the hearing progressed , with Twitter down 4.5% and Facebook around 1.2% lower. Facebook came under fire for being at the forefront of Russia's interference in the 2016 election.

USTA president Katrina Adams issued a statement after the match, making a point of noting Williams' "class and sportsmanship" and calling her "an inspiration to me, personally, and a credit to our sport, win or lose". "Just the fact that it's happening, I'm very happy about it", Osaka said after her semi-final win over 2017 runner-up Madison Keys.

Williams and Osaka have played against each other once before, at Miami in March, and it was the Japanese upstart who toppled her idol in straight sets.

"I know everyone was cheering for her and I'm sorry it had to end like this", she said.

"I feel like she was playing really well, but I feel like I really needed to do a lot to change in that match to try to come out front, to try to come out on top", she said.
