Ex-Trump lawyer weighs his options

Ex-Trump lawyer weighs his options

The airport run-in comes on the heels of CNN's report Thursday night that President Donald Trump's former attorney, Michael Cohen, has reportedly claimed that Trump Jr. told the president in advance about the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting with Russian officials who promised dirt on Hillary Clinton.

Donald (Don) John TrumpGiuliani: I didn't know Cohen "very well" when I defended him Giuliani: We warned Cohen that he violated attorney-client privilege Sunday shows preview: Giuliani strikes back MORE, for being "transparent" in sharing the emails surrounding the Trump Tower meeting.

Rudy Giuliani has revealed that Michael Cohen has 183 recorded conversations and President Trump is on 11 or 12 of them.

The president's personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, told ABC News on Saturday that Cohen violated attorney-client privilege by releasing a tape of him discussing with Trump, his client at the time, payments for former Playboy model Karen McDougal's story alleging an affair with Trump.

This would be a significant development in Special Counsel Robert Mueller's probe into whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government. If Mr. Cohen, who specialised in making deals and making Mr. Trump's problems go away, were to cut a deal, he would do so with an eye toward eliminating or cutting his potential punishment.

Meanwhile, the Trump Organization is being put under the microscope as Allen Weisselberg, the company's chief financial officer, was called to testify before a grand jury in the Cohen investigation, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Mr Trump Jr responded "I love it" when first offered the political "dirt" on Mrs Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee. "A particular focus will be Trump Jr.'s initial statement about the meeting, which turned out to be false, and which the president dictated from Air Force One while returning from Europe".

In addition, the Earth is closer to the Sun during the northern hemisphere summer so its shadow is larger than average, he said. Hence a black shadow will be seen taking a bite out of the moon. "During a very dark eclipse the moon may be nearly invisible".

Several White House officials said Flood has cautioned Trump and others about the unpredictability of a subpoena fight that could be decided by the Supreme Court.

"He's been lying all week, he's been lying for years", Giuliani said on CNN's "Cuomo Prime Time". By Cohen's account, Trump approved going ahead with the meeting with the Russians, according to sources. As we now know, Trump Jr. later acknowledged that it clearly wasn't just about adoption.

Cohen lawyer Lanny Davis has countered that Trump said the opposite - instructing Cohen to "pay with cash", to which the lawyer reportedly replied, "No, no, no".

The New York Times has reported that Mueller is investigating whether Trump's tweets about Attorney General Jeff Sessions and former Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey constitute an attempt to obstruct justice.

Per Giuliani, Trump and other participants in that alleged meeting claim it did not occur, and that Cohen has provided different dates for the discussion. Earlier this month, however, he said that his loyalty is first to his family and country, not the President.

"So proud of Donald Trump Jr for being open, honest and transparent to the American people", Cohen tweeted.

Mr Trump suggested Mr Cohen was implicating him in exchange for possible immunity on unrelated charges related to his businesses.
