Nancy Sinatra Sr., Frank Sinatra’s First Wife, Dies At 101

Nancy Sinatra Sr., the former wife of Frank Sinatra and mother of his three children, has died.

Nancy Sinatra Junior, Frank and Nancy Senior's daughter, tweeted on Friday that her mother died at 6:02 pm.

Her daughter called her "a blessing and the light of my life".

On IMDB, she is listed as having three credits, appearing as herself in the two-part Sinatra: All or Nothing at All documentary series, the Nancy & Lee in Las Vegas documentary and a guest appearance on Dinah's Place; on all three appearances, she was listed under her maiden name.

Born Nancy Barbato on March 25, 1917 in Jersey City, she met her future husband in the summer of 1934, while they were holidaying with their families on the Jersey Shore.

Frank Sinatra left his Nancy for Ava Gardner in the early 1950s. Frank Jr, also a singer, was born in 1944 and Tina Sinatra was born in 1948. Nancy Sinatra worked as a secretary while her husband tried to get his music career started as a singing waiter at a local restaurant. "She would never show it in front of us, never, but my room was next to hers and I would tiptoe out and I'd listen at the door and she'd be crying".
