"Star Wars" breakout Kelly Marie Tran is STILL facing racist trolls

"We like and dislike stuff but we do it with humor, love and respect". Fans of the game are about to be in for a new world of content inspired by Solo: A Star Wars Story when the new batch of Han Solo season content arrives June 12. Her character was a mechanic who befriends and saves Finn (John Boyega), sacrificing herself in the process.

It is unknown why Tran deleted all of her photos.

In one particular instance, her entry on the Star Wars Wikipedia page was edited to include offensive remarks about the star's appearance and heritage. We're the VAST majority, we're having fun & doing just fine'.

While it was unclear Wednesday if the abuse extended to comments on her Instagram feed, '"The Last Jedi" actress has been suffering trolling for months.

And in December, the official Star Wars Facebook account was forced to come to her "impressive" character's defense after hateful comments on a video of one of her five auditions.

The Ron Howard-directed movie premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last month, but it has failed to capture the imagination of "Star Wars" fans, with its global box off takings expected to peak at around $400 million.

It comes after Tran's Last Jedi co-star Daisy Ridley, who plays Rey, a year ago revealed she had quit Instagram. As the first woman of color in a major role in the franchise (and a huge nerd!) Tran also became an ambassador for diversity and positivity in Star Wars.

'And I didn't sign up for people to go, "You're awesome!"

Wendig, who noted that he adores Tran's bio line on Instagram, wrote that the actress "is a force for light and joy" and doesn't deserve such poor treatment. Given that the four "Star Wars" films that have been released since that year have earned more than $4 billion, that pushes the total tally to more than $41 billion. "I was like, 'I'm out, ' Simple as a that".

She told Glamour magazine at the time: 'I was on Instagram, trying to do that whole thing, and people weren't very nice. "And I didn't sign up for people to go, 'You're amazing!' But I didn't sign up for them to say things like 'Your skin is s***,' either... so I took down the post, and then I deleted my account".
