Flags set to Fly at Half Staff to Honor Law Enforcement

The memorial day service will take place at the Kerrville Police Department located at 429 Sidney Baker in Kerrville. I feel fortunate to work with such a wonderful group of professionals.

Sergeant Vernon Baker was an Oklahoma City police officer for 30 years. They all do an outstanding job and I greatly appreciate their efforts. Memorial service in Clarksville at police headquarters.

Officer Elias Martinez, with the Metro Police Department, died September 17 in a motorcycle crash in League City.

Some 231 fallen officers killed in the previous year were also commemorated, and their names will be added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial this spring. Since Cherry, 18 King County Sheriff's officers have fallen in the line of duty.

And the ones that were killed in the line of duty and lost in the line of duty, they gave their lives for us as citizens.
