Forecast: Showers this afternoon, light snow tonight

This weekend's rain and wind is part of a warm, wet storm that's focused on northern California and southern OR, the weather service said. This means that many locations that saw snow today, specifically folks from Missoula and areas south will see rain beginning during the early to mid morning hours. Saturday highs heat to the upper 70s, while lows fall to the low 50s.

The cold air could also cause problems on the roads Sunday morning should any moisture linger. The Storm Prediction Center has placed areas north of I-10 in a Slight Risk for severe weather, and an Enhanced area for severe weather to our North. The chance is small, but it can't be ruled out.

As much as a half-inch of rain is expected Saturday, and another quarter inch of rain Sunday, which together would about equal Thursday's record-setting rainfall. Timing looks to be around Noon through 3pm we'll see scattered shower and some storms in the Pee Dee, and then becoming widespread from 4pm-9pm.

Tomorrow will be cool with a high near 60 degrees with a mix of sun and clouds. We'll end up seeing plenty of sunshine for your Wednesday though highs only look to make it to around 65 degrees. We will need to watch for a changeover from rain to sleet/snow by late afternoon and evening as the temperatures drop.

Normal highs & lows: 70 & 45. Lows 36-38 inland, 40-42 beaches.
