Europa League: Arsenal to face CSKA Moscow

Europa League: Arsenal to face CSKA Moscow

The final of the competition will hold at the Stade de Lyon in May.

Granit Xhaka and Welbeck added second-half goals for a 5-1 aggregate win that earned Arsenal a quarter-final tie against CSKA Moscow.

CSKA now lie in third place in the Russian Premier League and got past Lyon in the last round via the away goals rule.

A maiden victory in the Europa League represents Arsenal's best chance of securing Champions League football next season, with the side now 12 points off fourth place in the Premier League with just eight games remaining.

Deadly package explosions in Austin may be a hate crime
In the package explosion on March 2, Austin police responded to a home in the 1100 block of Haverford Drive around 6:55 a.m. Austin Police Chief Brian Manley said the two incidents displayed enough similarities to investigate them together.

Here's what Arsenal can expect from their opponents, including the lowdown on their style of play, key player and showings so far this season.

Ahmed Musa, who's on loan from Leicester City, was one of the goalscorers.

With a place in the Champions League up for grabs for the competition's victor, Arsenal will be giving their all to win the Europa League and won't be too anxious about facing CSKA.

A 2-0 first leg victory over AC Milan in the Europa League was followed up with a Premier League win on the weekend and last night, the Gunners secured their third win in a week. No Russian side has done so since Zenit Saint Petersburg in 2014. Arsenal eventually won the group and CSKA failed to advance.
