Nintendo serves up Mario Tennis Aces onto Switch, arriving June 22nd

During the Nintendo Direct presentation today, we got an extensive look at some gameplay footage for Mario Tennis Aces, which also got a release date of June 22 along with a pre-launch online tournament.

Nintendo Direct event happened and one of the headliners for the presentation was Mario Tennis Aces.

Mario Tennis Aces' online multiplayer will let you play with far away friends for up to 4P multiplayer. A casual mode allows you to use a JoyCon as a tennis raquet, and also have more elaborate controls with a regular controller setup. Besides the normal shots, Mario Tennis Aces introduces three new shots, an energy meter, and the ability to break your opponent's racket mid game.

The Mario Tennis Aces free online tournament will be available as a free demo to download from the Switch eShop. More details regarding the pre-launch tournament, including official dates and times, will be announced sometime in the future.

Tennis World Tour will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on May 22nd. The game launches on July 13.
