Leman takes skicross gold

Canada's Kevin Drury didn't finish the final, which followed a competition which had been marred by a series of heavy slams.

Thankfully Drury recovered from the fall and did eventually cross the finishing line, however, he was given a Did Not Finish classification. Four years ago at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Leman reached the big final but was unable to prevent a French sweep and finished fourth.

Leman's triumph delivered a fifth freestyle skiing title Canada at Pyeongchang 2018.

Brady Leman earned Olympic gold for Canada in men's skicross on Wednesday, beating Marc Bischofberger of Switzerland in a wild final at Phoenix Snow Park.

Gas prices fall almost six cents
In Killeen, the lowest price for regular gas on Saturday was $2.06 per gallon at Walmart Neighborhood Market, 3801 E. The latest data from the EIA shows an annual hike of 29 percent for crude oil exports, and 15 percent for gasoline.

Sochi gold medalist Jean-Frederic Chapuis had insisted before the Games that the French were not a dominant force in ski cross, saying they just had a ideal day in the 2014 final. "Right now we are the best nation in the world in ski cross and have been for a couple of years", Leman said after claiming Canada's third gold medal from a possible five in ski cross events at the Olympics.

Christopher Del Bosco, 35, took off on a jump and lost control in mid-air late in the run.

Del Bosco received lengthy medical treatment after landing on his back, but was seen raising his arms as he was carried off the course on a stretcher.
