Pres. Trump's approval highest in West Virginia

A full 67 percent of US voters said Trump is not a good role model for kids, with only 29 percent insisting that the president is someone children should seek to emulate.

Overall, it is a marked improvement for Trump, who had a 32 percent approval rating last month, while 56 percent disapproved of his job performance.

President Donald Trump's approval rating has jumped 10 points in a month and now stands at 42 percent, according to a new Monmouth University Poll.

Americans also appeared to soften their stance toward the GOP tax law, with the same proportion - 44 percent - registering approval as those who disapproved. Vermont is the least approving state, registering just 26 percent. Even white voters with no college degree, a key element of Trump's base, weren't that enthusiastic - 54 percent said Trump is someone kids should emulate, while 41 percent disagreed.

Many users complained about a pay-to-win system that forced DICE to remove the option to buy the in-game currency with real money. Will they ever contain only cosmetic items, as in a game like Overwatch? We saw it continue with Fortnite.

Other polling corroborates this positive momentum.

Statistically speaking, Trump's low approval rating is unusual, considering that American presidents usually enjoy a fairly high approval rating in their first year, which is described as the presidential "honeymoon period" during which many Americans are still content with how presidents carry out their roles. A Fox News poll showed him up from 38% to 45% among registered voters since October. The latter finding mirrors a WBUR poll earlier this month that put Trump's job approval at 29% in the Bay State. "But Democrats who counted on riding public hostility toward the tax bill to retake the House may have to rethink that strategy", he said.

This Monmouth University poll was conducted January 28-30, 2018, among 806 adults. The results have a margin of error of 3.5 percent.
