Meghan Markle closes social media accounts after engagement to Prince Harry

Opening hours for all public houses and bars in Britain will be extended on two nights in May to let people celebrate the wedding of Queen Elizabeth II's grandson Prince Harry to US TV star Meghan Markle.

A senior royal source said: "They would have loved Frogmore for the party, particularly Meghan, who has called it "dreamy", but they have been told St George's Hall is far more practical". "However as she has not used them for some time she has taken the decision to close them".

Meghan shut down The Tig in April of 2017, but kept her Instagram and Twitter accounts, People reports.

Shortly after Harry and Markle's engagement, Kensington Palace also announced that Markle would no longer carry on her charitable work with World Vision and as a United Nations advocate and would join of the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Harry, as the main vehicle for their philanthropic activities.

She also ended her seven-year run on the television show "Suits" prior to announcing her engagement to Harry. Markle will join the foundation after she marries Harry.

Her comments were aired after the U.S. actress wowed Brixton when Harry brought his bride-to-be to the heart of London's Caribbean community for their first official visit in the capital.

The couple will marry at Windsor castle on May 19.
