Lindy Lou Layman's Inartful $300K First Date With Texas Lawyer

Lindy Lou Layman's Inartful $300K First Date With Texas Lawyer

Layman is charged with criminal mischief after prosecutors say she destroyed pricey paintings and sculptures following a date with high-profile attorney Tony Buzbee Saturday night.

The Morning News reported that Layman was intoxicated and, when Buzbee called an Uber for her, she allegedly hid in his home and refused to leave, then attacked the artwork, which included two original Andy Warhol paintings valued at $500,000 each.

Buzbee says the two returned to his home, but Layman turned out to be too drunk to continue their date, prompting his call for an Uber.

Layman destroyed three original paintings and two abstract sculptures at Buzbee's 12,000-square-foot mansion that evening, according to a criminal complaint, leaving at least $300,000 in damage.

Layman was released from custody on Christmas Eve after posting a $30,000 bond, court records show.

Per the data read in court, Layman was forceful toward the second Uber driver, strolled again into Buzbee's home and yelled, "I'm not clearing out". She tore the paintings off the wall and poured liquid on them, and threw the sculptures across a room in Buzbee's home, the court documents reveal.

During the probable cause hearing, the judge said, "The complainant informed officers that had the defendant went out on the first date". A LinkedIn page for Layman identifies her as a freelance court reporter.

He successfully defended former Texas Gov. Rick Perry in an abuse of power case and -for the party highlights- just hosted a holiday extravaganza this year for his family and friends with special celebrity guest Snoop Dogg. He also hosted a fundraiser for then-candidate Donald Trump at the mansion a year ago.
