Two students wounded near school

Sheriff's deputies in Washington state are searching for two teenagers suspected of shooting a pair of male students near a high school in the small city of Graham on Tuesday.

Doug Boyles, a spokesperson from the Bethel School District, confirmed that two victims are Graham-Kapowsin High School students, but didn't have more information.

The agency announced the incident on Twitter shortly before 3 p.m., saying one student was found in a parking lot by the football field and another was found in a locker room.

Both students are expected to survive following surgery at Tacoma General Hospital Tuesday afternoon, but it was an incredibly tense afternoon for students, staff, and parents left wondering if their children were in danger.

Witnesses described the suspects as black males who reportedly fled the scene in a green automobile, possibly a Chevrolet Impala or similar in appearance.

"We got out to the school and found that there were two students who had been shot", said Troyer. Authorities believe the shooting took place off campus and students ran back to the high school after being shot at.

Trump Pushes for Tax Overhaul as Key Senate Votes Loom
Despite the Budget Committee moving the bill forward, the TCJA is not assured to pass on the broader Senate floor. The House would keep individuals' state and local property tax deduction, which the Senate bill would eliminate.

Deputies said the shooting might be gang-related.

Investigators determined that the shooting occurred during a fight just off school grounds on Eustis-Hunt Road East.

At 2:27 p.m., deputies responded to multiple 9-1-1 calls about shots fired near Graham-Kapowsin High. But three other nearby schools were locked down as a precaution.

"I knew he wasn't one of the kids that was shot, and I pray for them and their parents". Graham-Kapowsin and the other schools that were put on lockdown will follow a normal schedule on Wednesday, which is a scheduled late start for the Bethel School District. It's unclear whether the shooter or shooters were students at the school.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and students involved with this shooting today".
