LaVar Ball removes son LiAngelo from UCLA

LaVar Ball removes son LiAngelo from UCLA

Ball said on Monday that he meant to pull his son, LiAngelo, off the team and out of the school; over the indefinite suspension the school issued after LiAngelo's role in shoplifting incident in China.

"We are exploring other options with 'Gelo", said LaVar, according to Jeff Goodman of ESPN. "He's out of there".

LiAngelo Ball was indefinitely suspended alongside teammates Cody Riley and Jalen Hill after they were accused last month of shoplifting from a Louis Vuitton store next to their hotel in Hangzhou, China. LiAngelo was one of three UCLA basketball players arrested on suspicion of shoplifting. Ball is a freshman who hasn't played a game for UCLA yet. The charges were eventually dropped, but not before the global incident made headlines when President Donald Trump tweeted that he helped free the players, which the elder Ball disputed. "So basically they're in jail here", he added.

"We get back over here and the consequences were even stiffer than China".

LaVar Ball confirmed to ESPN on Monday that he had removed his son from the university.

TMZ broke the story. aspiring actress Kadian Noble claims Weinstein met her in London and said he could launch her career. The company's board has previously said it was blindsided by the sexual misconduct allegations against Harvey Weinstein .

"I told my boys that one of them wasn't going to make it".

LaVar Ball said LiAngelo Ball "wasn't punished this bad in China". But even without a landing spot, Lavar feels he can prepare LiAngelo for the National Basketball Association better than a college team can.

Ball told ESPN he hasn't decided where LiAngelo will play this season.

"It's not a new policy, it's an existing policy", a Lakers spokesperson told ESPN.
