Kelly Clarkson's Carpool Karaoke turns into date night with her husband

Kelly Clarkson gave us all an early holiday gift this year with her appearance on James Corden's Carpool Karaoke segment last night.

"I think you've got a voice where you can make anything sound good" Corden says to Clarkson after the song is over.

Of course, with the original "American Idol" victor riding shotgun in the CBS personality's Range Rover SUV, there was plenty of the skit's trademark singing.

Corden, 39, and Clarkson, 35, also showed off their singing chops with some of her biggest hits, including "Since You've Been Gone", "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)", "Because Of You" and new tunes from her latest album Meaning of Life, including "Whole Lotta Woman" and "Love So Soft".

In his six league apps since then, he's scored only once for the club and converted 6% of shots. No punishment from the FA for Romelu Lukaku following the "incident" during the Brighton game.

Corden even dropped a solid Seal joke along the way to work.

After belting out "Since U Been Gone", "Love So Soft", "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)", and "Because of You", the newly minted Voice coach mentioned how hard it can be to spend time with Blackstock, who's also her manager, outside of a work environment.

As he pulled the auto over, Clarkson got in the back seat while Corden set up a little table complete with a rose, chocolates, anda white tablecloth. The Late Late Show host set up a mini table with a rose and chocolate-covered strawberries.

"Just pretend we're not here", Corden responded, allowing the two to attempt a private conversation in the backseat. "It's supposed to be a romantic date night!" "The kids aren't here", the American Idol alum said about her children River Rose, 3, and son Remington, 1.
