Harvey Weinstein & TWC Hit With Claims Of Sex Trafficking At Cannes 2014

Harvey Weinstein has been accused of violating sex trafficking laws in a new lawsuit.

TMZ broke the story. aspiring actress Kadian Noble claims Weinstein met her in London and said he could launch her career.

As per the lawsuit, once inside the room, Weinstein allegedly "began massaging [Noble] and then gripped her shoulders".

"It seemed like it went on forever", Noble said.

Before the incident in February 2014 in at the Le Majestic Hotel in France, British citizen Noble was asked to drop off a "reel" at the TWC London office after first meeting Weinstein not longer before.

The alleged assault occurred in May 2014 in Cannes, France according to the lawsuit.

Weinstein's brother and business partner Bob was also accused in the suit that alleged he was either aware of what Harvey Weinstein was doing or "in reckless disregard of the facts".

He promised her a role but sexually assaulted her after she attempted to show him her showreel at his hotel during the Cannes Film Festival, she told the conference in NY.

Helicopter, plane crash in mid-air over England, leaving 'number of casualties'
In May, a man was left fighting for his life after the helicopter he was travelling in with two other men crashed at the site. A statement on Twitter read: "Firefighters now assisting other emergency services at scene of air accident near Waddesdon".

As for Kadian herself, her recount of the harrowing experience with Weinstein is extremely similar to the other 50 plus women who have come forward with their tales of horror with the producer.

"Instead, he used this ploy as a fraudulent means of obtaining sexual gratification", luring her to his hotel room where he allegedly "forced her hand to masturbate him" until he "ejaculated onto the bathroom floor". According to the complaint, one producer told Kadian on the phone while she was in a hotel with Weinstein that she needed to be a "good girl and do whatever" Weinstein wanted for future work.

The company's board has previously said it was blindsided by the sexual misconduct allegations against Harvey Weinstein.

Weinstein "blocked her exit" next according to court papers and 'pulled down Kadian's shirt, revealing her breasts, and unbuckled his trousers and belt'. It further states, "TWC knowingly participated in Harvey Weinstein's venture in violation of 18 U.S.C. ยง1591 (the sex trafficking statute) by benefiting from, and knowingly facilitating, the venture in which Harvey Weinstein traveled in foreign commerce to recruit or entice female actors into forced or coerced sexual encounters on the promise of roles in films or entertainment projects", as reported by Deadline.

There is a statute of limitations of five years when it comes to civil sexual assault claims.

As per Friedman's opinion, he told People that Noble's lawyers will "be very aggressive and take discoveries as soon as possible, which would mean taking depositions of the Weinstein brothers and their company". "TWC employees knew to "take care" of the FOH's", is filed in the claim as reported by Vulture.

A spokesman for the Directors Guild of America confirmed that Weinstein had resigned, several weeks after president Thomas Schlamme announced disciplinary charges against the tycoon, but refused to comment further.
