Donald Trump Challenges CNN International Coverage for Spreading 'Fake News'

On Saturday, Donald Trump took to Twitter to complain about CNN International's news coverage.

US President Donald Trump has hit out at CNN International, the global broadcast wing of popular CNN, alleging that the news channel does not portray the correct picture of his administration.

"@realDonaldTrump My @CNNi & @CNN colleagues regularly risk their lives in #Syria #Iraq #Afghanistan #Niger and beyond, following US Troops into war-zones, chronicling natural disasters, holding dictators to account & profiling everyday heroes", tweeted Jon Sciutto, CNN s national security correspondent.

Russia on Saturday, though, made an even bigger statement, as Vladimir Putin signed a law that labels foreign media as "foreign agents" in retaliation for the USA government asking Russian news service RT to do the same thing. The POTUS frequently claims organizations such as CNN and the NYT are merely "fake news" who seek to polarize the American citizenry and lie for views.

The 71-year-old wrote that CNN is doing a terrible job of representing the United States to the world- claiming that Fox News really has Americans best interests at heart

The president may have already moved onto his next Twitter tirade, but the internet came to the defense of the network, giving reasons why CNN is not the fraudulent company Trump paints it as. As Thomas Jefferson said, it "cannot be limited without being lost".

Comey, arguably one of FBI's most controversial directors, has been criticized, particularly by Trump, for leaking information to the press.

Joe Scarborough ignored the president's message and instead thanked CNN for sending the message that America "still has a vibrant, free press". "It's not CNN's job to represent the U.S. to the world".
