Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Just Had High Tea With The Queen

In a formal introduction at Buckingham Palace, Harry took actress Meghan for tea with the Monarch, which extended into a full hour. The Thursday event was also not "widely publicized within the palace", according to Daily Mail, which also noted that light snacks were served alongside the Queen's own blend of Darjeeling and Assam tea.

The meeting comes just weeks after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were photographed together in Toronto, where he was attending the Invictus Games.

The couple travelled there in a vehicle with blacked out windows and visited her private sitting room for an informal tea, The Daily Mail reports.

It's believed the meeting was held in the Queen's private sitting room at around 5pm and Prince Philip was not in attendance.

The teatime meeting, where insiders say the Queen normally enjoys a selection of sandwiches, fruit and scones, reportedly lasted almost an hour. It is said to be the Queen's favourite time of day and it's a bonus when her grandchildren join her.

As Richard Kay reported, the Queen spent nearly an hour with her grandson and the Los Angeles-born Meghan, who stars in the U.S. legal drama Suits.

Trump threatens to challenge media's broadcast licenses
The president was reacting to an NBC News report that he pushed senior aides for a major expansion of the USA nuclear arsenal. But observers on the conservative side of the political divide are also beginning to wonder just what he's trying to suggest.

"Nowadays, we may not be not putting on our white gloves, heavy corsets to sip some tea at 4 p.m., but the tradition (with some minor modern improvements) still remains very relevant - especially when the late afternoon lethargy sinks in", she wrote.

Since their public snuggling at the closing ceremony of Harry's Invictus Games in Toronto last month - with Meghan Markle's mother, Doria Ragland, also in attendance - rumours of an imminent engagement between the Prince, 33, and his actress girlfriend, 36, have gone into overdrive.

Meghan recently opened up about the relationship during an interview with Vanity Fair magazine, in which she gushed about her love for her prince.

"Nothing about me changed".

"She normally sits for half an hour eating from a selection of sandwiches, fruit or plain scones and cake", Kay said.

We are sure Meghan absolutely nailed it though! "But we're happy. Personally, I love a great love story".
