PM Modi to inaugurate first ever All India Institute of Ayurveda

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday dedicated the first ever All India Institute of Ayurveda to the nation. Adding to his jibes, PM Modi said that those nations who leave their heritage behind are destined to lose their identity.

PM Modi said that Ayurveda is not just a medical practice, but encompasses public health and environment health as well.

"There is a strong need to integrate traditional and modern systems of medicines. Ayurveda's rich heritage and recognition as an alternative system of medicine in developed countries provides a good foundation to set an ambitious growth goal defined by increasing market share, customer access and profitability in both India and global markets".

The newly inaugurated Institute is committed to offer un-parallel Ayurveda treatment facilities to the patients. "AYUSH ministry is working in this direction", he added.

Every toilet constructed across the country under the Swachh Bharat Mission could now be called "Izzat Ghar", or something equivalent in a local language that means house of dignity, following a directive from the Centre to the states after Prime Minister Narendra Modi last month applauded the naming of a newly-constructed toilet in his constituency, Varanasi, as "Izzat Ghar". The government has kept AYUSH in its four priority areas.
