Detective wrangles 9-foot anaconda

Detective wrangles 9-foot anaconda

This Florida cop, however, isn't among those people.

Detective Emily Shaw received a call on Wednesday about a 9-foot-long snake on the loose, and as she is experienced handling exotic snakes, she headed right over to the scene.

LCSO shared the video to their Facebook page Thursday.

Shaw has experience handling exotic snakes and she managed to wrangle what is now confirmed to be a yellow anaconda. It shows a detective trying to get hold of the snake with a thick branch. "God dern!" said the officer filming the video. She makes quick work of the anaconda, securing it inside the duffel bag in a matter of minutes.

Turkish Officials to Boycott Meetings with US Ambassador: Erdogan
Ukraine and Turkey have agreed to bring bilateral trade to $10 billion as soon as possible, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said.

"Standing ovation to you detective Shaw because I know dang well I couldn't do it because I'm terrified of snakes", says one Facebook user on the video.

Officials believe the snake was someone's pet that either escaped or was released.

"If you own an exotic pet, please be responsible", deputies wrote.

The anaconda was found on the east side of Leon County, near Louvinia Drive.
