Odell Beckham Jr. Ankle Injury: Giants Receiver Carted off Field

The Giants were leading the Chargers 22-20 late in the fourth quarter when Eli Manning threw incomplete to Odell Beckham Jr. on a slant route. It was the same ankle he injured in the preseason against the Cleveland Browns which caused him to miss Week 1.

Through four games, Beckham had three touchdowns. That leaves second-year man Roger Lewis as the only healthy receiver on the Giants' depth chart as of Sunday evening.

Five plays earlier, Shepard hopped off the field with an ankle injury and collapsed on the sideline before getting evaluated and ruled out the remainder of the game.

Wilder to defend heavyweight title against Stiverne Nov. 4
DEONTAY WILDER will defend his WBC heavyweight title with a rematch against Haitian-born Canadian Bermane Stiverne next month. It is the only fight in Wilder's pro career to go the distance and one where he suffered a broken right hand.

He tweeted: "Odell Beckham is headed for surgery, per source".

Taylor Rooks‏ tweeted: "Brutal game for Giants". Could squeaking out a win against the similarly very bad, fellow winless Charger ever erase all the things wrong with the Giants exposed this season, ever replace the frustration and despair of these dashed expectations with hope for something better?
