A 10-year-old boy identified as Israr Ahmad was killed in Kirni sector after suffering multiple injuries due to Pakistani shelling, while four others were wounded.

Zargar said 12 people including two women and four girls were also injured in the cross-LoC firing and shelling, which began at 6.30 am and continued till noon.

Defence Ministry sources said that the Indian military has been retaliating strongly and effectively.
