Columbus Active Shooter at Scioto High School Report

Specialists who reacted to a report of a dynamic shooter at an OH secondary school say they captured one individual and took a weapon, and nobody was harmed.

"I heard the gunshots", said Ian Addis, a 9th grader at the school.

Police on Friday afternoon said a student "fired multiple shots inside the school", and later charged Adan Abdullahi, 18, with improperly discharging a firearm in a school safety zone, a felony.

Police Chief Kimberley Jacobs said the suspect was a male, but was uncertain of his age.

Authorities say the school has been placed on lockdown and officers are searching the building.
