Prince William and Kate take George and Charlotte to Princess Diana's grave

Prince William and Prince Harry attended a service rededicating the grave of their mother, Princess Diana, on Saturday.

Princess Diana lives on through the work she did and through the work her children are still doing.

And Prince Harry said earlier this month: "My mother had just died, and I had to walk a long way behind her coffin, surrounded by thousands of people watching me while millions more did on television". Her family held an intimate service Saturday, July 1st at her family home.

Kensington Palace said in a brief statement: "The service, which will fall on what would have been the Princess's birthday, will be conducted by The Archbishop of Canterbury and attended by her family". I don't think any child should be asked to do that.

The re-dedication of Diana's grave comes a few months before the 20th anniversary of her death.

The four states closed their airspace to Qatari carriers and blocked the emirate's only land border, a vital route for its food imports.

Other members of Diana's family in attendance included Prince Harry, Diana's brother, Earl Spencer, and her sisters Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Baroness Fellowes. "I don't think it would happen today". The programme include appearances from William and Harry, who said they "owed" it to their mum to open up about her death.

"My mother died when I was very young", Prince Harry told Newsweek magazine.

The twentieth anniversary of Diana's death is coming up on August 31. The two are hoping to now "stand up for her name" and do their duties "as sons" in protecting her and reminding everyone "of the character and person that she was", according to a new BBC documentary with the working title Diana. Harry recently spoke about a particular memory of her funeral that he feels strongly was wrong.

According to an upcoming BBC documentary, now titled Diana, the princes plan to "stand up for her name" and fulfil what they consider their duty "as sons" to remind everyone "of the character and person that she was".

Prince William and his brother Prince Harry have a plan to erect a statue of her outside Kensington Palace. The Diana Award is a charity organized to promote Princess Diana's belief in young people.
