Nintendo Super NES Classic Edition 2017

Nintendo Super NES Classic Edition 2017

Last year, Nintendo announced the NES Classic, a miniature version of the original Nintendo Entertainment System with 30 games built-in. It's launching on September 29 with an MSRP of $79.99.

One of the problems with the NES Classic Edition wasn't so much the features, the games, or its functionality.

The statement reads, "We aren't providing specific numbers, but we will produce significantly more units of Super NES Classic Edition than we did of NES Classic Edition". Had the device not been discontinued, it's likely gamers would have continued purchasing the NES Classic at great pace despite the cord length, though longer third-party cords would have inevitably been created. The short controller length of the original NES Classic was a popular complaint amongst customers, which led to some using wireless options instead.

After the success of the NES Mini, we would advise anyone looking to pick up this item to pre-order it as soon as possible-unless you want to miss out on some classic '90s entertainment.

Nintendo recently announced a new, but familiar console, the Super NES Classic Edition. "There have been versions of it floating around online, but this is the first time Nintendo's putting their stamp on it and actually shipping it to customers".

The latest console will come with 21 games including The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and Star Fox 2. But for many fans who wanted to buy one of the smaller microconsoles for themselves, to relive the classic 8-bit Nintendo games, it was an unmitigated disaster- the console was chronically undershipped, and mostly no one got their hands on it. The Classic Mini line, then, is a smart strategy, assuming Nintendo can make enough of them to avoid angering fans.

Rather cheekily, Nintendo is selling the USB AC Adapter separately for $19.95 - if your TV doesn't have a USB port, this is required to play the system and brings the total to $139.94. It's the same console, just with some different visual flair.

Even if you are playing Kirby's Dream Course, you'll at least be able to control the game from a reasonable distance this time around. It follows the NES Classic that went on sale late past year but was discontinued in April citing limited resources.
