E3 2017: Life is Strange Prequel, Beyond the Storm, Unveiled

The new episodes are being titled Life is Strange: Before the Storm, a prequel to the original five episodes in the series, and likely not the full sequel that fans have been hankering for. Given the trailer's tone and theme, we think they've nailed the same feel regardless. Outside of that, no details have been revealed outside of the fact that the first episode will debut on August 31st, and there will be three episodes released during the season.

During Microsoft's E3 press conference today, the company revealed a trailer for three prequel episodes in Square Enix's Life is odd series.

Square Enix has unveiled the prequel to Life is unusual from Microsoft's E3 presser. Before the Storm is being made by Deck Nine Games, the Denver-area developer that was founded in 1997 as Idol Minds. It was unknown at the time whether Deck Nine and DONTNOD were working on the same follow-up, or if Deck Nine was in fact working on a new Life is unusual game at all.

Jessica Alba and Gwyneth Paltrow appear on Apple's FIRST reality show
Apple has finally released its first original series, Planet of the Apps , with the first episode available to watch for free . It unfolds with minimal visual flair, and many basic questions about the show go unanswered.

Most importantly, the trailer also gave us our first official look at the mysterious and enigmatic Rachel Amber. This stand-alone bonus episode, will release after episode 3, and is only available as part of the Deluxe Edition of Life is Strange: Before the Storm.

This prequel is set three years before the original game and expands on the period when Max left Chloe.

Square Enix also stated that Before the Storm will feature an entirely new story with Rachel and Chloe, meaning that we won't be reliving the chapter of Rachel and the dark room.
