In Shift, White House Refers Russia Questions to Outside Counsel

During an off-camera press briefing Wednesday morning, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer was asked if people should be "concerned that the president posted somewhat of an incoherent tweet last night, and that it then stayed up for hours?"

The White House adopted a new stance Wednesday for dealing with questions about the Russian Federation investigation, clamming up and directing all inquires to President Trump's outside lawyer.

Spicer also declined to say whether President Trump had made a decision on pulling the United States out of the Paris climate agreement - and he would not comment on news reports comedienne Kathy Griffin had been fired from CNN for her posing in photographs with a likeness of President Trump's head.

Kasowitz has represented Trump in the past. A top White House communications staffer has resigned as President Donald Trump considers overhauling his White House staff over frustrations that his team is struggling to contain the burgeoning crisis involving alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

But this is the Trump White House we're talking about.

Russia Launched Cyberattack On Voting Vendor Ahead Of Election
Approximately a few days later, victor unlawfully transmitted by mail the intelligence reporting to an online news outlet. While neither the information or the outlet were identified, the information was also described as a report dated May 5.

Trump has yet to sign a major piece of legislation, and he is now facing a series of major decisions, including withdrawing from the Paris climate accord, increasing troops in Afghanistan and naming a new Federal Bureau of Investigation director.

He is also purportedly under scrutiny in the FBI's ongoing investigation of potential collusion between Russian Federation and Trump's 2016 campaign. By referring questions to outside lawyers, aides hope the focus can return to Trump's agenda.

"While the various congressional and law enforcement investigations continue, the White House should take all possible steps to protect national security including immediately revoking Mr. Kushner's security clearance", the group wrote Wednesday in a letter to White House Counsel Dan McGahn, according to Politico.

"He blows away their case against him & now wants to clear his name by showing 'the false or misleading testimony by James Comey, John Brennan".
