Coach Luciano Spalletti leaves Roma

Well, so much for that 7 am press conference, huh?

LUCIANO SPALLETTI has left his position as Roma manager - and is now expected to be named Inter Milan boss.

The post Roma part ways with Spalletti appeared first on Vanguard News.

The shaven-headed 58-year-old's second stint with Roma lasted a little less than 18 months and ended two days after a 3-2 win over Genoa guaranteed the side second spot on 87 points, and a place in next season's Champions League group stage.

"If I could go back in time, I would never have come to coach Roma", the coach said, per BBC Sport. "We could perhaps have done better and we didn't always have everyone pulling in the same direction".

Inter are now looking for a new manager following the departure of Stefano Pioli, with former president Massimo Moratti backing the 58-year-old to take over at San Siro.
