Mark Zuckerberg's Throwback Thursday: The Moment He Got Into Harvard

Mark was a part of Harvard's 2006 class but he dropped out of college in 2004 to work on Facebook, which is now the world's largest social networking platform.

We are all familiar with the nerves before getting a response from a potential university one has applied to.

FACEBOOK founder Mark Zuckerberg has shared a home video showing him as a teenager when he found out he had been accepted to study at Harvard University. Almost 15 years after that, he will get his honorary degree at commencement next Thursday.

Teen Zuckerberg (quietly): "Yay".

You then start seeing glimmers of excitement coming out of young Zuckerberg, who punches the air with a wide grin on his face.

The video has been viewed more than 4 million times as of Friday morning.

As Dan Sachs, a colleague of Zuckerberg, posted to Facebook's CEO page, that's a "v$3 ery roundabout way to avoid Harvard's core curriculum requirements".

My dad took this video when I got accepted to Harvard.

To which Zuckerberg replied, "That was definitely not my plan".

In the comments thread below the video, Zuckerberg pokes fun at his "old-school" desktop computer, and reveals that his mother bet him that he'd drop out.

One of Harvard's most famous dropouts just shared the moment he was accepted into college.
