Salem congressman responds to President Trump's 'witch hunt' tweet

Responding to US President Donald Trump's claim that he is a victim of the "witch hunt", Florida Senator Macro Rubio said that the former is entitled to his opinion, but the United States is a "nation of laws".

Trump tweeted his comment Thursday following the appointment of a special counsel to investigate allegations his campaign collaborated with Russian Federation to sway the 2016 election. The move aimed to quell the wave of criticism facing the Trump administration since the president fired Comey last week as the investigation intensified. That is a reality that our institutions work. But that's a minor point beside the obvious fact that Donald Trump's response to the appointment of a special counsel isn't any more "measured" than his response to anything else that isn't direct Trump-praise.

"This is the single greatest witch hunt of a politician in American history", he added.

The president went on to call the Russian Federation investigation the "single greatest witch hunt of a politician in American history!".

Excessive caffeine led to death of teen, coroner says
NBC News reports that the death of a 16-year-old student last month in SC has officially been deemed a caffeine overdose . A SC high school student died after ingesting a large amount of caffeine, the Richland County Coroner told WOLO .

He followed up on Twitter this morning, questioning why no special counsels had been appointed to investigate former President Barack Obama's administration or Hillary Clinton's campaign.

As President Trump continues to deal with numerous controversies, the People story says Obama would "take his call and try to help" if Trump were in a jam and needed advice.

The White House has previously insisted that there is no need for a special counsel regarding the 2016 election, and Trump has expressed a desire to see existing Russian probes over and done with.

Trump claimed on Wednesday that "no politician in history" has been "treated worse" than him.
