Nigeria negotiating with Boko Haram for more Chibok releases

According to NAN, Dolapo Osinbajo, the wife of the Vice-President, expressed her happiness for the safe return of the girls while Mrs Alhassan, the Women's Affairs minister, said that the girls would be reintegrated back to the society after they had undergone psycho-therapy.

Some of the released girls during their meeting with President Buhari on Sunday. Those girls are in a government rehabilitation camp where they rarely see their families.

The statement read in part, "Our movement has begun the elementary process of verification and authentication of the identities of our released 82 Chibok girls based on the list in the public domain (this list alone does not suffice for our process)". They will likely begin a months-long rehabilitation program run by the government, which the 24 girls who already escaped are now undergoing.

"However, was there abuse physically, sexual and all of that? We are all delighted and we will be more delighted when they are finally reunited with their family and friends".

The girls, ages 16 to 18, are believed to be among 276 forced from their beds by Boko Haram militants in the middle of the night in April 2014. We will only grant access to their parents, not community members.

"We have been praying for the release of these girls and any other person adducted".

"In his inaugural address, President Muhammadu Buhari said the Administration can not claim to have defeated Boko Haram without rescuing the Chibok girls".

Like when it comes to Dowry prohibition Act or Guardianship Act you follow customs and protect them,"he said". We don't want court or somebody else to tells us it is bad.

The girls were released on Saturday.

Pointing out that the Buhari administration had promised to do all it could to get the girls released, he stated that it took the PDP government eternity to acknowledge the abduction, and by that time that could have been used in rescuing the girls was lost. But it was the mass kidnapping of 276 girls in April 2014 that horrified the world and brought the extremist group worldwide attention.

President Muhammadu Buhari will receive the girls on Sunday in the capital Abuja, it said, without saying how many Boko Haram suspects had been exchanged or disclosing other details.

Like most distraught Chibok families whose daughters are still in captivity, Rebecca is keeping her hopes up. "Now he doesn't know where she is and he is not allowed to go and see her", Yesufu told CNN.

"We have no apologies or regrets whatsoever for exchanging Boko Haram detainees for our daughters".

The government published the names of the freed girls on Twitter but in Chibok not everyone has access to the social media site. "We'll do it again if needed".
