CBS unveils six new series for the fall season

CBS says it will pair "Big Bang Theory" with its spinoff sibling, "Young Sheldon".

Jim Parsons (adult Sheldon) will narrate this new 30-minute series, which centers on young Sheldon growing up in Texas and coming to terms with his supersonic math and science capabilities.

Following "The Big Bang Theory" and "Young Sheldon", "Mom" returns to Thursdays at 9 p.m. But CBS CEO Leslie Moonves isn't so sure: "You want to leave on top, but you don't want to leave money on the table", he said, adding he felt former hit Everybody Loves Raymond left the schedule "three years too early".

In the just-ended season cliffhanger, Sheldon is seen proposing to longtime girlfriend Amy, played by Mayim Bialik.

CBS will return its Tuesday schedule intact, with "NCIS" at 8 p.m., "Bull" at 9 and "NCIS: New Orleans" at 10. But Turner said the format and distribution strategy will evolve from his current talk show to a range of personality-based, cross-platform experiences.

Monday: 8:00 p.m. "The Big Bang Theory", "Kevin Can Wait" (starting October 30) 8:30 p.m.

Tourists still coming to Florida in record numbers
Almost 113 million tourists — majority from the USA — visited past year , despite concerns that news events would turn them away. About 31.1 million people visited the state in the first three months, that's a 2.5 percent increase over a year ago .

The new fall dramas are: SEAL TEAM, a military drama that follows the professional and personal lives of the most elite unit of Navy SEALs as they train, plan and execute the most risky missions, starring David Boreanaz; S.W.A.T., inspired by the television series and feature film, starring Shemar Moore as a S.W.A.T. sergeant in Los Angeles; and WISDOM OF THE CROWD, starring Emmy and Golden Globe Award victor Jeremy Piven as a visionary tech innovator who creates a cutting-edge crowdsourcing app to solve his daughter's murder.

CBS will also introduce new shows "Instinct" - a crime drama starring Alan Cumming and Naveen Andrews - and "By the Book" - about a New Yorker (Jay R. Ferguson) who decides to try to live in strict accordance with the Bible - later in the 2017-2018 season. "Me, Myself & I" slides to 9, and the comedy "Superior Donuts" rejoins the schedule in the 9:30 slot.

After "NFL Thursday Night Football" ends its run, "Kevin Can Wait" moves to Mondays at 8 p.m.

"Mom" and "Life in Pieces" will return to Thursday at 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., respectively, follwed by the cop show "S.W.A.T". SURVIVOR once again anchors the night at 8:00 PM, where it continues to win in viewers and demographics, leading into the new military drama SEAL TEAM starring David Boreanaz at 9:00 PM. "Life in Pieces" (starting November 2) 10:00 p.m. "S.W.A.T". "NCIS: Los Angeles" moves to 9 p.m., and "Madam Secretary" returns at 10.

Moonves was asked about CBS' interest in American Idol before it ended up at ABC. Kahl said they have a winning strategy to close out the work week with "MacGyver", "Hawaii Five-0" and "Blue Bloods". CBS even gave a first look at the show at its Upfront presentation on Wednesday (May 17).
