Fox host takes vacation after Ivanka Trump microphone quip

On Wednesday night's show, Watters announced that he would be taking a short vacation from Fox. "But I'll be back on Monday, so try not to miss me too much".

He had appeared before on O'Reilly's show.

While uncomfortable giggles swirled, co-host Kimberly Guilfoyle reminded Watters he'll be missing his Saturday show as well.

He was commenting on footage of Ms Trump addressing a panel at an Inspiring Women event in Germany, where she faced a hostile audience and she was forced to defend her father's record on women.

He later clarified the remarks to say he was not making a sexual innuendo about the president's 35-year-old daughter.

NBC News reached out to Fox News for comment on the controversy and Watters' vacation, but was told, "We don't put out press releases on talent vacations". Social media users and headlines today suggest Watters was alluding to the microphone Ivanka Trump was holding as a phallic symbol?

Three-run blast by Pujols helps Angels over Astros, 5-2
Astros: Mike Fiers looks for his first win this season when he starts on Friday in the opener of a three-game series at Tampa. Reddick would score from second, but Altuve would be thrown out trying to stretch a double into a triple by Mike Trought.

While the network is still trying to distance its self from the sexual harassment allegations made against former host Bill O'Reilly, this isn't a good look so Watters has taken the rest of the week off for a sudden vacation.

In an official statement obtained by the Washington Post, Watters claims the joke wasn't meant to suggest anything lewd about the first daughter.

Watters previously garnered negative headlines for a October 2016 segment, in which he went to New York City's Chinatown, employed a number of racial stereotypes and mocked elderly residents who didn't speak English. It comes just days after O'Reilly got ousted from Fox News over his own issues with respecting women.

Be sure to watch his awkward AF vacation announcement for yourself (below)! Ailes has denied all charges.

During an episode of Fox News' The Five, Watters was asked to sound off on the recent public booing of Ivanka Trump at the W20 Summit in Berlin. After that, Fox News said that things would change.

Watters defended himself via Twitter. One could only imagine that Jesse would feel mortified now that people took his comment and gesture to be lewd and aimed at Ivanka.
