Jeff Goldblum returns to 'Jurassic Park' franchise

Original Jurassic Park series actor Jeff Goldblum is set to join the sequel to Jurassic World. Click right here for more on Jurassic World 2, including the first official image. Goldblum played Dr. Ian Malcolm in Jurassic Park and it's follow-up The Lost World.

A familiar face is set to return to the Jurassic Park franchise. Now, Alan Grant's return to Jurassic World 2 is all but missing and the film will take on a whole new look.

Hold on to your butts because the sequel to Jurassic World is after getting a piece of casting news that's potentially greater than the recent announcement that the original T-Rex will be returning.

Spielberg commended Goldblum's talent in an interview conducted for "Jurassic Park" where he said: "Jeff Goldblum is an incredibly naturalistic actor". Before Goldblum goes back to battle the dinosaurs, he will next be seen in the upcoming "Thor: Ragnorok" film opening on November 3.

Chris Pratt's "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is scheduled to be released in North America on May 5, 2017, and his upcoming "Jurassic World 2" is expected to be released on June 22, 2018.
