Derek Carr: 'True Raiders fans' will still back team in Las Vegas

Carr, who told reporters Monday that he's optimistic Raiders fans will follow the team to Vegas, has the sunny disposition standard for a player about to sign a mega-deal.

His job as the on-field leader of the Raiders remains the same whether the Raiders are playing in Oakland, Las Vegas, London or on the road - win football games.

Rapoport continued: "Because it is possible that the Raiders get on the clock Thursday night or Friday, and say, 'All right, we're going to take this running back". "I feel great", Carr said. "I hurt, too. But at the same time we're all in this together, we're going to do it together".

"[Relocation] comes up all the time but it's always the thing like, "just win now" and that's what it comes down to for us", 2016 Defensive Player of the Year victor Khalil Mack said.

On Tuesday's edition of "First Take", Stephen A. Smith and his team were ready to dissect the comments Carr made that upset a lot of the fan base, all while tagging Derek Carr's Twitter handle.

"Out of 1,000 people, you're going to get one or two that have something to say". Mack, on the other hand, as the fifth overall pick in that 2014 draft, carries a fifth-year option for 2018 that Oakland will surely exercise if a new deal can't be reached.

Allen was caught behind the net as he played the puck, and it went directly to Coyle, who scored his second goal of the series. D Dennis Wideman and G John Gillies were healthy scratches for the Flames . "We're happy to have them back into the fold".

This is fabulous news for the fourth-year quarterback.

So other than the upheaval in his day-to-day routine coming up, Carr's job description never changes no matter the year or where his team calls home. The Raiders' revival comes with a built-in expiration date; its prime reserved for fans one state over.

"I think he's the most physical guy I've played against", Mack said. We have a good football team that works really hard with great character. Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie said at the end of March that he would start working on a contract extension for Carr after the draft. We let them know where we're at and what we're trying to do. You don't know what's going to happen down the line or who's going to be where, so this team we have now, just focus on winning.

The NFL Draft is just over a week away and the Oakland Raiders have focused much of their attention on that.

"I hope to play with him, but I'm focused on the guys who are here today", Carr said, according to ESPN.com's Paul Gutierrez. "Hopefully it'll turn into the hottest one".
