Cristie Kerr Wins LOTTE Championship

Cristie Kerr Wins LOTTE Championship

Kerr, whose previous win on the United States women's golf tour came at the CME Group Tour Championship in 2015, carded a bogey-free six-under-par 66 to finish on a combined 20-under 268 for the tournament.

Kerr's four-day total of 20-under 268 broke the tournament record.

Two of Creamer's 10 victories have come in Hawaii and she would surpass US$12 million in career earnings with a win on Saturday (Sunday NZT).

Kerr hadn't won in 30 starts since the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship in 2015. She was 16 under the final two days, soaring into contention with the third-round 62 that included seven back-nine birdies. Made a lot of good par saves, and (made) some good birdie putts to start the day.

That was good enough for a three shot victory over Ko, reigning Evian Championship victor In Gee Chun and overnight leader Su-Yeon Jang.

Top-ranked Lydia Ko, looking for her first win since July, was tied for seventh at 9 under after a 65.

Stacy Lewis (68), first-round co-leader Mi Hyang Lee (70), Alena Sharp (69) and Becky Morgan, who also has two holes remaining, share fourth place at 8 under. Michelle Wie, the 2014 Lotte champion, made the cut on the number.

Clashes with Abu Sayyaf raise tourism concerns
Jaypee Orcullo, an officer of the Department of Tourism in Bohol province, says some tourists canceled hotel reservations. Its boat-riding gunmen have been boarding commercial and fishing vessels and abducting dozens of foreign crew members.

The West Australian couldn't reproduce the fireworks of previous year when she closed with a 63 to win and, after starting the final round 10 shots back, could only manage a 2-under 70.

"You know, I'm just real excited to be home". She bogeyed the 10th just before play was suspended, but got it back with her sixth birdie of the day, at the 13th.

"I played solid. I putted really well", she said. "It was an unbelievable run".

"Considering where I was after the first day I'm pretty pleased with where I finished at the end of the week".

Jang, who doesn't have a bogey this week, also played in the final group a year ago at Lotte and finished fifth.

Allen became the first American to finish first on the Ladies European Tour Order of Merit previous year.

"I haven't been able to play as well as I would have liked. So experience definitely helps".
