National Football League mock draft: Sports Illustrated gives Browns dream scenario

National Football League mock draft: Sports Illustrated gives Browns dream scenario

This report was immediately met with skepticism as many felt it was a typical ploy some teams use leading up to the draft to try and stir the market for a potential trade. Then on Tuesday night ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the Browns have not made up their mind on the No. 1 pick and that there is a "split" opinion.

"I'm just telling you what other people have told me", Schefter said.

The Browns pick first and 12th in the first round of the draft on April 27. The last quarterback drafted early in the first round with such limited college experience was Mark Sanchez, the fifth pick in the 2009 draft after one year as Southern Cal's starter.

But, it could also be a draft smokescreen by the Browns.

The United States' global sway has changed significantly under Trump, and China has everything to gain from that shift in power. The North's latest missile launch also came during annual military drills between the United States and South Korea.

If Trubisky goes first overall, it could force some teams that really want a quarterback to panic. "Because if you don't draft me No. 1, I will punish your team for the next 10 to 12 years", said Garrett.

Cleveland is in a unique position because of how many draft picks they own in the next two drafts.

Either way, it seems like National Football League talent evaluators have some concerns with Garrett, and if he is not considered a sure thing, it might make more sense to take the gamble on the more important position, quarterback.
