Kendall Jenner's protest Pepsi spot prompts online backlash

Kendall Jenner's protest Pepsi spot prompts online backlash

Pepsi later bowed to criticism and the ad campaign was cancelled.

This must have been aimed at convincing people that this large corporation in fact has a solid grip on reality-it must have-which is why their decision to use these particular words is so. incredible.

A new advert for Pepsi, featuring Instagram celebrity and Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kendall Jenner, has become the latest inoffensive video to enrage the internet.

"Pepsi was trying to project a global message of unity, peace and understanding", the company stated. We are pulling the content and halting any further rollout.

The 52-year-old then began to dissect exactly what happens throughout the advert, barely containing his own laughter: "It starts with a throng of attractive, multi-ethnic people protesting in the streets of, I'm gonna guess Newport, Rhode Island".

Civil rights groups alarmed over retreat on police reforms
Sessions has always been skeptical of federal investigations into police departments accused of biased policing. Asked if losing the agreement would make the reform vulnerable Davis responded, "It certainly would".

"The Pepsi commercial shows us that capitalism will steal our lives and then find multiple ways to make a profit of our death", one comment on Twitter read. "We also apologize for putting Kendall Jenner in this position", the company said. She makes to the front, and hands a police officer a Pepsi. The subject matter is so vague and inoffensive that it becomes toothless; it's a scenario dreamed up by a committee that doesn't have the guts to publicly support Black Lives Matter, or the Women's March, or Standing Rock, or any of the highly publicised protest movements that are now right at the forefront of the American psyche. And the company seems to wants to support the Muslim community.

"This is a good example of what happens when you don't get the objective input of a classic agency relationship that can say, 'We need to save you from your worst impulses, '" he said. Coca-Cola has always been known for its diverse marketing, in which it regularly celebrates people of all different backgrounds, colors and creeds, bringing them together in celebrating of an unhealthy carbonated soft drink. In particular, Kendall and Pepsi are being criticized for mocking both the "Tank Man" of Tiananmen Square and the now-iconic image of protestor Ieshia Evans being arrested in Baton Rouge during a peaceful protest last July. They're drinking pomegranate juice and sports drinks.

I don't know whether it was Pepsi's intention for the nondescript protest in the ad to draw parallels to the Black Lives Matter movement, but it's not hard to see why people are making comparisons.

People have backlashed on the ad very seriously because of its political incorrectness, insensitivity and lack of thought.
