Camera captures moment auto slams into Seattle gas station, igniting pump

The video shows the vehicle positively fly through a pair of pumps, lining it up for a direct hit on one of the bowsers in the next set of two behind. And according to officials, the driver of the vehicle, a 35-year-old male, is in serious condition at Harborview Medical Center.

The result was a fiery explosion that was caught on surveillance video.

After hitting the Accord, the SUV continued down the road, hopped a curb, went through a parking lot, then barreled through the gas station. "And be this fireball going through the air as it went into the gas station, into the pumps actually", Cannon said.

Seattle police say a 60-year-old rideshare driver and a 40-year-old woman, who was his passenger, was in a Nissan X-Terra when the Nissan struck a Honday Accord traveling in the same direction. Witnesses say the SUV driver appeared to try to brake, but lost control before slamming into the pumps.
