Ben Affleck confesses publicly about his addiction to alcohol and his treatment

In a heartfelt Facebook post shared on Tuesday, Ben Affleck revealed that he recently underwent treatment for alcohol addiction.

Ben Affleck is no stranger to rehab as People notes the actor checked himself into Promises, an alcohol rehab center in Malibu, back in 2001. The couple has remained close since their split, reportedly living together during much of the separation and co-parenting their three children.

Entertainment Tonight have claimed that after completing a stint in rehab for his alcoholism, Ben was anxious about giving in to temptation at the glitzy do, so invited a special recovery professional to keep an eye on him. The latest course of treatment was regarded by the "Suicide Actor" as the first of many steps taken towards positive recovery.

It sounds like Ben can take it easy and work on the script and staying healthy for the next few months! He is especially concerned with what his children can learn from his own experience: " I want my children to know that there is no shame in asking for help to take a first step.

Affleck, who was at the recent 2017 Oscars, starred in three movies a year ago: "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", "The Accountant", and "Live by Night", the last of which he also wrote and directed.
