Brooklyn Nets will honor The Notorious BIG with 'Biggie Night' against Knicks

It's been 20 years since we lost Biggie, one of rap's most influential names.

The Notorious B.I.G., aka Christopher Wallace, was shot in the passenger seat of a vehicle outside a Vibe magazine party on March 9, 1997. Four bullets hit him and he was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, but doctors were unable to save him.

Today 20 years ago, on March 9, 1997 rapper Christopher "The Notorious B.I.G" Wallace was shot and killed in Los Angeles.

Faith Evans, Biggie's widow, said on "The Breakfast Club" morning radio show Thursday that she hasn't been able to find closure since her husband's 1997 murder - the criminal case hasn't been solved - but has made a decision to "move on and live with the great memories of B.I.G. that we have". For us, we lived 20 years of our lives without somebody that has been a big part of our lives. Combs says the videos will then be edited together into "something special". "I have had lots of support from friends at church, and I'm thankful for that over the years".

Romain Dauriac 'shocked' at Scarlett Johansson divorce
Johansson does a lot of traveling. "The kid was bouncing back and forth". "It will be an interesting process", the attorney added. Johansson made it crystal clear she will not be divulging any details about the proceedings in a statement sent to news outlets.

Not Biggie. Smalls' flow had an underpinning of fatalism - his debut album was called "Ready to Die" - with a bit of Jamaican patois and lots of East Coast edge. "It's just a matter of the LAPD saying that they know what happened, which they probably will never do".

Today's Morning Edition music is from Notorious B.I.G with "Hypnotize". Fans will be able to purchase signature T-shirts (featuring classic B.I.G. logos and slogans like "Mo Money Mo Problems"), bomber jackets, hoodie sweatshirts, bags and more.

The rapper left behind a lasting legacy, solidifying his place in hip hop as one of the greatest rappers of all time.

The rap icon's former wife Faith Evans is now gearing up to release their joint The King & I album.
