Dolphins Release Left Tackle Branden Albert

Dolphins Release Left Tackle Branden Albert

The upcoming free agent pool of offensive linemen isn't particularly deep, but it had a little bit more talent added to it Thursday as the Miami Dolphins released veteran offensive tackle Branden Albert, who could be a potential upgrade for the Bears.

Fantasy Impact Albert, 32, was released by Miami on Thursday. Tunsil, a left tackle in college at Ole Miss, played left guard in his rookie season.

Thanks to time and some trusted relationships Tunsil was drafted by the Dolphins as a luxury with the 13th overall pick.

Teams looking for a solid left tackle could look to guys like Riley Reiff, Kelvin Beachum, and Albert to shore up their weak offensive line.

Trump's press secretary lies and bashes media
Kellyanne Conway , campaign manager and incoming counselor to the president, exits Trump Tower in NY , U.S. However, Trump said that the media "showed a field where there was practically nobody standing there".

The Dolphins will save $20.4 million in salary cap space with the four moves, affording themselves flexibility to either retain upcoming free agents (including receiver Kenny Stills and defensive end Andre Branch), find new free agents or possibly extend the contracts of players such as receiver Jarvis Landry and safety Reshad Jones. He has never played a full season during his three years in Miami, starting 35 of a possible 48 games.

Williams' release is not a surprise. He had a career-low 1.5 sacks and also suffered concussion and ankle injuries.

"Williams, 32, was set to cost the Dolphins $10.5 million against the cap in 2017 and that was simply too much based on his modest, if not barely visible contribution in 2016". He entered the National Football League in 2008 as a first-round selection by the Chiefs out of Virginia. He earned two Pro Bowl nods while notching 53 sacks over six years, including five in just 5 games his final fall in Texas.
