Ronda Rousey Loses Again; What Now?

Ronda Rousey suffered a defeat at the hands of reigning bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes of Brazil at the UFC 207 octagon in a fight that lasted 48 seconds, prompting a barrage of reactions from fans and critics on social media. It was Rousey's first bout since losing the title to Holly Holm at UFC 193 and Nunes' first title defense since winning the belt over Miesha Tate at UFC 200 this past July.

De Mars knows ultimately it's up to Rousey to decide on whether or not she will fight again, but making that decision just moments after a devastating loss isn't the right time to do it. "All of those who have criticized Ronda for taking a loss so to heart, for not just "shrugging it off" don't understand that what made Ronda so successful is that she cares DEEPLY about winning to an extent that I don't believe the average person can wrap his/her head around. Wouldn't it be a nicer world if it did?"

According to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne, one of the few reporters allowed recent access to Rousey, the 29-year-old has been training in "Rocky"-like fashion, at a cabin in a quiet mountain village two hours from Los Angeles". Movies, writing, producing, she's really, really smart.

Rousey said that, at the time of the Holm fight, she was trying to "make too many people happy" as the new face of the UFC, especially of its new women's divisions, which compromised her training.

Ronda Rousey Contemplating Future Is Joining The WWE In The Cards

I want to say thank you to all of my fans who have been there for me in not only the greatest moments but in the most hard ones.

Among those accomplishments De Mars listed is that her daughter was the first women's champion in the UFC and the first woman to earn a million dollars in martial arts.

"I think making snap decisions like that is probably not the best idea so I don't know", De Mars said about Rousey's future. While you might think that is to be expected, look how many celebrities (heck, look how many of your neighbors) can say that.

"I am very proud of my daughter". Cause she's got a lot of talent in a lot of other things.
