Former "Young And The Restless" actor Corey Sligh has been arrested on child molestation charges.

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office confirmed Sligh, known for his role on The Young and the Restless, was arrested on October 14 and charged with child molestation. TMZ said the victim was under the age of 10 at the time.

The alleged incidents occurred between April 1 and September 24. It is unclear at the moment just many times Sligh is accused of molesting the young girl.

Sligh, who provided a Woodstock mailing address upon his arrest, was released the same day on $22,000 bond, Baker added.

According to the report, Sligh, who has recurred on Y&R as a waiter at the Genoa City Athletic Club and was also a waiter on DAYS, was arrested and booked for child molestation in his home state of Georgia.

Corey's name is familiar to soap opera fans, but he also made mainstream news on Thanksgiving 2014 after he was intentionally run over by a vehicle in a Los Angeles Rite Aid parking lot.

He suffered multiple injuries, including a broken arm. The two men responsible for the attack were arrested. Reports reveal that Sligh and his girlfriend had been in the process of delivering Thanksgiving dinner to a friend when they encountered a auto being driven recklessly in the parking lot.
