LeSean McCoy won't be charged over Philadelphia club brawl

In late February, Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy was involved in an alleged altercation with two off-duty police officers in Philadelphia that resulted in the officers being hospitalized.

He could still face discipline from the NFL.

The pace of the investigation became a source of frustration for the Philadelphia police, with John McNesby, the president of the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police, accussing the district attorney's office of giving McCoy "preferential treatment".

LeSean McCoy has avoided charges for his alleged role in a nightclub incident with two police officers but could be punished by the NFL.

Archbishop Says ISIS Crucified a Priest on Good Friday

Williams goes on in the statement to say that investigators are unable to determine which of the participants initially instigated the fight or whether some participants were acting in self-defense. This comes after many have called for the charging of McCoy, including Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney.

McCoy's attorney, Dennis Cogan, told ESPN's Mark Schwarz that a news conference has been scheduled for Monday at 2:30 p.m. ET at the district attorney's office.

McCoy, 27, has been under investigation along with three other suspects following a fight inside Recess Lounge in the early morning hours of February 7.

A police report filed by the off-duty officers after the incident stated that McCoy and his party started a fight over a bottle of champagne purchased by the officers. The second officer was also admitted to the hospital, where he received stitches over his right eye and is being treated for a possible skull fracture.
