Brie Larson finds her voice and best-actress Oscar in 'Room'

She specifically cited the crews at the Telluride and Toronto film festivals, where Room first gained critical traction, and the film's distributor A24, which has practically made a reputation of taking chances on mid-budget, artistically challenging pieces.

Room was also nominated for this year's Best Picture award at the Oscars and was incredibly well-recieived.

Larson won for Room, in which she plays a woman who gives birth to a son after being kidnapped and held captive for years.

"Room: the first time a Best Actress and Best Actor were in the same movie since As Good As It Gets", the tweet reads. She gained notice as a series regular in the 2009-2011 Showtime dramedy "United States of Tara", playing Toni Collette's daughter, and she also had a recurring role in NBC's "Community". "Really love what you're doing, but we'd love you to come back with a jean miniskirt and high heels, '" she told reporters. "I absolutely loved it and devoured it in a day", she said.

She also said he's a whiz in the kitchen-a bonus, considering that both of them are vegans, Alex Greenwald even having worked alongside PETA.

"Maybe one day they'll make a movie about a skinny white lady who invented a mop...." This is where Jennifer Lawrence in 2013, winning for Silver Linings Playbook, showed how amusing and grounded she is, telling the crowd how she took a shot just before she got there. Larson's film career picked up steam after she won praise for the indie film "Short Term 12" in 2013.
