Turkey continues to shell PYD positions in Syria's Azaz

Wednesday's attack is the latest in a series of explosions in Turkey.

Governor Mehmet Kiliclar said the bomb appeared to have targeted a convoy of buses carrying military personnel.

On Thursday morning, reports emerged of a similar attack on a military convoy in the mainly Kurdish south-east of Turkey. It has shelled the YGP positions in response to what it says is fire coming across the border and stepped up deliveries of military hardware to the opposition.

The leader of the main Syrian Kurdish group has denied that his group is behind the Turkey blasts and warns Ankara against taking Syria ground action.

But it's said to bear the hallmarks of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) which is fighting an insurgency in the region. The U.S. already lists the PKK as a terror group.

The U.S. has designated the PKK a terrorist group but has not done the same for the Syrian Kurdish militias.

An Arab-Kurdish alliance dominated by the YPG has made significant advances against IS and other insurgents near the Turkish border in the past week.

Washington also condemned the attack, according to a statement by Mark Toner, deputy spokesman of the U.S. State Department.

Earlier, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu named the Ankara bomber as Salih Necar, a Syrian national and member of the Syrian Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG).

The attack on the soldiers was the second deadly blast in two days on Turkish soil that Ankara has attributed to Kurdish groups.

Elsewhere, Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood denounced the attack and offered condolences to the Turkish government and people.

The co-leader of the PKK umbrella group, Cemil Bayik, was quoted by the Firat news agency as saying he did not know who was responsible for the Ankara bombing.

Ankara's ambitious plans to establish a "zone of influence" in Syria stretching from Latakia to the Western Euphrates, meanwhile, have been demolished by the Russian air operation in support of the Syrian government, and the Turkish government, the analyst suggests, has no one to blame but themselves for their failure to cooperate with Moscow to take steps to settle the Syrian crisis peacefully.

Erdogan insisted that evidence obtained by Turkish authorities pointed to the Syrian Kurdish group.

"A direct link between the attack and the YPG has been established", Davutoglu said.

"It is out of the question for us to excuse tolerance toward a terrorist organisation that targets our people in our capital".

Paul T. Levin, head of the Stockholm University Institute for Turkish Studies, told The Associated Press that "it will be interesting to see how the United States reacts because they view the YPG as an ally..."

But if the Saudis and their allies send their armies to Damascus to try and remove Assad by force, the Syrians and their allies will certainly fight back.

Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag described the attack as an act of terrorism and told parliament, which was in session at the time, that the auto had exploded on a part of the street lined on both sides by military vehicles. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because she wasn't authorized to speak publicly on the issue. Syrian Kurds fighting in support of the US and Russian Federation to the great despair of the Turks.

Syrian rebels have brought at least 2,000 reinforcements through Turkey in the past week to bolster the fight against Kurdish-led militias north of Aleppo, rebel sources said on Thursday.

The Turkish military said it was targeting "top figures" from the PKK in Thursday's airstrikes. The claim couldn't be verified.

Erdogan expressed his grief over the fact that another attack has been leveled against Ankara a mere few months after the October 2015 attack in the center of the city which left 102 people, mostly Kurds, participating in a peace rally dead.
